China leads the listing with more than 48 millions of reproductive sows, followed by United States, Vietnam, Russia and Brazil. Spain is placed as the sixth country in the world according to the total number of reproductive sows, with 2,697,000.
In a European level, Spain is established in the first place, followed by Germany, that has traditionally been the biggest producer. Poland holds the third place.
